Super Bowl Sunday!

In my house today, it’s just another day. Oh sure, I will watch the game but no parties to go to or yummy snacking foods.  And I knew if I made some I would just eat it all so that wasn’t an option. Honestly, grazing is my most favorite way to eat!!

So I felt a real need to do something in the kitchen and have been obsessed with food blogs since I started following WAY TOO MANY over the holidays – and now I am hooked.  It was a bit chilly this morning (for So CA anyway) so muffins sounded good and I had some fresh blueberries that were screaming to be used.  I had run across a recipe from “My Baking Addiction” called Blueberry Doughnut Muffins, and that sounded like the perfect creation.

And it was all I hoped it would be. The smells emanating from the oven were rich with lemon and blueberry and home-baked goodness!

It was intoxicating!!!

And then came the glaze......... if you look close you can see the vanilla beans.  I could so easily have taken the spoon and just eaten it up!!  Good thing the muffins needed every bit of this!!

And the results........

These were SO yummy!!!!  Even my neighbor reaped the benefits of this baking surge.  I told her to enjoy it while I was in the mood because I wasn't sure how long it would last!!!
